Sean McDonagh

He has played many roles on television and on stage over the past 25 years. He recently appeared in a TG4 drama program. Ella's life from Dan. And he will appear as The Miller in the Race 4 production of Báte and collaborate with multimedia and performance artist Naomi Sex on an installation piece for the Complex in September 2024.

Classics include The Magdalene Sisters, Kisses, H3, The Closer You Get, The Honeymooners and the award-winning WC. Television appearances include Detective Felix in Pat Shortt's Mattie for RTÉ. He has also appeared in Fair City and On Home Ground for and recently starred with Andre Breton in The Nightwatch, a twenty minute television drama shot in one take for installation Artist Gerard Byrne. He has worked on many programs for TG4 including Ri Ra, Ar An Imeall, Marú, Paddywackery and Seomra a Sé, a special project to broadcast a live TV Drama. He played the character Caomhán in Ros na Rún for four years.

On stage Sean has appeared in many productions including A Dublin Carol for the Gate Theatre, Treehouses for The Peacock, Mrs Warren's Profession for Cork Opera House and Mark O Halloran's short plays Too Much of Nothing and One Too Many Mornings for theatre. Bewley. Playing a clownfish in the Big Telly Theatre's production of Sinbad to him while swimming! In educational theatre, Seán has worked with Barnstorm Theater many times as an actor-decorator and workshop facilitator. Productions include the award-winning drama Stuck in the Mud and Town Mouse, Country Mouse. He is an accomplished Puppeteer working with The Lambert Puppet theater on their Aladdin Christmas Show.

In 2010 Seán started writing and directing with An Taidhbhearc in Galway. He co-wrote and directed the Pantomime Sinbad and the Pirates in December 2010 and in 2011 I with the same team he co-wrote, and he directed the Play Examination, which was based on the new Leaving Certificate Irish Poetry syllabus and went he's on tour. Schools in Galway, Clare and Dublin. Sean was also part of the comedy sketch team The Brown Bread Players. The Brown Bread Players were nominated for a fringe award in 2016 for the stage award The Definitive View by Sneachta Ní Múrcú

High Rock Productions

In 2011, together with Niall, Seán started High Rock Productions. Dedicated to bringing inventive physical theater to young people. These shows present educational content in an innovative and exciting way.

The show Throw It Out was a huge success. Based on the Leaving Certificate oral Irish curriculum that changes every year, High Rock offers a new show every year that makes the content accessible and enjoyable for Leaving Certificate students. Audiences have grown every year since 2011 and the touring schedule includes over 130 school and theater performances a year in every county in Ireland. In 2014 I co-designed and produced the Irish drama workshop Scéal aimed at transition year students. In 2026 Brain Camp Design and interactive presentation for schools based on cognitive bias.  In 2019 Sean co-composed and produced and directed the show Eire: Conas Taght Slán. based on Irish mythology, culture and history.  In 2020-21 he co-produced, wrote and produced content for the you tube channel High Rock Junior, providing online comedy sketch content for primary school teachers during the Covid lockdown.

In 2022 the Seven Topus Show was Directed and Co-conceived for children between 6 and 10 years old who are touring primary schools for the 3rd year in a row. In 2023 Production, Conception and Design of Living Legends workshop program for primary schools.

Niall McDonagh

Niall began his acting career appearing in many Radio dramas for RTE Radio Drama in his youth. He appeared in The Wizard of Oz at The Olympia, The Snow Queen at the Gaiety and Alan Parker's The Commitments.

He graduated in Irish and History from UCD and completed the acting course at the Gaiety School of Acting.

His stage work includes The Risen People at the Gaiety directed by Jim/Peter Sheridan. Cén Dochar, The Portrait, The Wood Flame and The MacCabe Gambler all for the Show. Aladdin and Cinderella at the Black Box in Galway.  He works on several shows with Barnstorm Theater Company including

Silly Bits Of Sky, World's Greatest Adventure and Little Rudolph. for Barnstorm Theater Company. He performed in Time Flies for ExBelAir Theater Company and An Triail for Aisling Ghéar theater company.

Film and TV work includes The Big Bow Wow (RTE), RíRá (Tg4), On the Edge (Tg4), The Halo Effect (Lance Daly), WC.

In 2004 Niall moved into television production. His series of shows with Adare Productions ran for three seasons. His first show Neelo was nominated for an IFTA award. This was followed by Neelo's Sins and the Faustian Weather Produced by Niall Co with Adare's production.

High Rock Productions

From 2015 to 2021 High Rock Productions ran a Summer residency in the International bar for their comedy sketch show Ireland: A Survivor's guide. Aimed at visitors to Dublin.

In 2014 he co-designed and produced the Irish drama workshop Scéal aimed at transition year students. 2026 co-designed Brain Bootcamp and interactive presentation for schools based on cognitive bias.

In 2019 Niall Co-produced the show Ireland: How to Get Safe for gap year students, based on Irish mythology, culture and history.  In 2020-21 he co-wrote and produced for the you tube channel High Rock Junior, providing online comic sketch material for primary school teachers during the Covid lockdown. In 2022, the Seven Topus Show was produced and designed for 6-10 year olds, in its 3rd year touring primary schools. 2023, the Collective put together, devised and designed a program of workshops for primary schools entitled Living Legends.  High Rock is currently developing a new play for 7-11 year olds with the working title Scythes which explores anxiety and stress in young people. It will be the first time for Week of the Irish Language 2024.
